The Wuxi Chinese Orchestra heralds from the southern city of Wuxi, the cradle of Wuyue culture spanning three millennia, the “city of erhu”, and the “city of traditional Chinese music”. Wuxi is home to a rich and ancient musical culture that has produced countless talented artists throughout the ages. The Wuxi Chinese Orchestra strives to achieve “sophistication, technical skill, cooperation, and quality”, and its maxim is “pursuing excellence, taking a unique path, embracing diversity, and becoming a well-rounded brand”. These form a positive mechanism that is guided by creation, focused on performance, and founded on practice.
L’Orchestre chinois de Wuxi s’efforce d’atteindre un haut degré de raffinement, de virtuosité, de collaboration et d’excellence artistique, et adhère à la devise suivante : « poursuivre l’excellence, emprunter une voie distinctive, favoriser la diversité et bâtir une identité artistique complète ».
