The ensemble has been curated by Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Michael Zaugg since his appointment in 2012.  \nFounded in 1981 by Canadian conductor Michel Marc Gervais\, Pro Coro Canada’s sound has been shaped by some of the world’s leading choral conductors\, including Gervais\, Anders Eby (Sweden)\, Søren Hansen (Denmark)\, Agnes Grossmann (Austria)\, and Richard Sparks (USA).  \nThe choir takes particular pride in its composer-in-residence program with internationally renowned composer Alberto Grau\, its role as faculty in the Choral Art program at the Banff Centre\, and its critically acclaimed tours across four provinces. Pro Coro Canada is deeply committed to building community through partnerships at the local\, provincial\, and national levels\, as well as mentoring the next generation of choral artists through its Emerging Artist Program\, which supports the development of singers\, composers\, and conductors alike.  \n  \n Pro Coro Canada \nLauréat d’un prix JUNO 2026 pour Ukrainian War Requiem de Benedict Sheehan\, Pro Coro Canada est un chœur professionnel composé des meilleurs chanteurs et spécialistes du chant choral de l’Alberta.
