This nearly happened. His parents were all in\, but his devoted piano teacher lobbied against the idea\, and eventually reason prevailed. My show will be a telling\, with musical illustrations\, of both the life of the actual Johannes Brahms and that of his could-have-been American counterpart\, Johnny Brahma\, the spectacular touring soloist.”  \n– Tom Allen  \n  \nDescription artistique de l’événement  \n« Il s’agit d’une exploration de la vie que Brahms aurait pu mener si l’impresario qui l’entendit jouer à Hambourg à l’âge de neuf ans avait réussi à l’emmener aux États-Unis comme enfant prodige en tournée.
