How can we create a rich\, full sound with the limitation of just four mallets? \nWe will discuss when traditional harmonic rules can strengthen a composition\, as well as when they can be deliberately ignored. We will also explore extended techniques\, focusing on bowing and pitch bending\, and analyse how these approaches can be used effectively in different musical contexts. \n  \nComposition pour vibraphon \nDans cette classe de maître\, nous explorerons différentes approches de la composition pour cet instrument polyvalent. \nPourquoi composons-nous? Comment créer un son riche et ample malgré la limitation de seulement quatre maillets? \nNous discuterons de la manière dont les règles harmoniques traditionnelles peuvent renforcer une composition\, ainsi que des moments où elles peuvent être volontairement ignorées. Nous explorerons également des techniques étendues\, en mettant l’accent sur l’utilisation de l’archet et les inflexions de hauteur (pitch bending)\, et analyserons comment ces approches peuvent être utilisées efficacement dans différents contextes musicaux. \nLucy Landymore – vibraphone \n  \nLucy Landymore is an award-winning multi-percussionist\, drummer and composer. As a soloist\, she continues to give concerts of her own compositions in prestigious venues worldwide. As the drum kit soloist with the World of Hans Zimmer\, she frequently performs in sold-out arenas worldwide. She previously toured with Hans Zimmer Live\, which can be seen on the DVD Live in Prague. Hans Zimmer invited Lucy\, together with Igudesman & Joo\, to perform at the release of his new documentary Hollywood Rebel\, by performing special arrangements of his film scores at BBC Studios in Cannes. \nLucy has since been featured as a performer and composer on numerous TV and Radio stations showcasing her unique work\, including Sky TV with Michael Parkinson\, Deutsche Welle\, BBC 2\, BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge\, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 3 among many others. Many international publications have featured Lucy’s work\, including the German Drums & Percussion magazine and the French Batterie magazine\, where Lucy was listed as one of the Top 10 New Drummers of 2019. \n  \nLucy Landymore est une percussionniste multi-instrumentiste\, batteuse et compositrice primée.
